UAB OAK9 Entertainment implements a project partially funded by the EU, Naujų kūrimo formų diegimas įmonėje (Establishment of new forms of the creative process at the company)
OAK9 Entertainment is one of the leading production companies and production studios in Lithuania, focusing on animation projects and game art. Founded in 2011, OAK9 Entertainment continues to create game art and animated content of the highest quality for creative development and production. The OAK9 team constantly upgrades its skills, in order to offer the best solutions: 3D, 2D animation, sketches, concept art, storyboards, animation, high-polarity modelling, low-polarity modelling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation, game trailers (cinematics), casual game art, and game art.
In response to market needs, OAK9 Entertainment is initiating the project Naujų kūrimo formų diegimas įmonėje (Establishment of new forms of the creative process at the company). The aim of the project is to develop new, high–added–value, competitive products with cultural and creative content and form, by investing in new business processes and services for competitive digital cultural and creative content and form. Project tasks include: optimise the process of 3D animation production using cloud-based digital technology solutions; optimise the process of light and image synthesis during the 3D animation production using AI-based digital technologies. The project will optimise the 3D animation production process by using cloud technology solutions and by implementing software to optimise operations. It is planned to use AI-based digital technologies to reduce the light and image synthesis processing time by a factor of 3. The project is unique in that a virtual office will be created to enable the 3D animation work to be performed remotely. The entire 3D animation production process will be moved to the cloud, ensuring the compatibility of the work process and work product created by remote workers through the use of harmonised software, ensuring synchronisation of the different stages of the production process, improving the quality of the light and image synthesis and reducing the time needed for image synthesis by a factor of 3.
The project is expected to produce a 3D animated series by applying the new form of the development process and the solutions for optimisation of the individual operations.
Project number 13.1.1-LVPA-K-310-01-0276.
The amount of EUR 799,508.50 was allocated as co-funding for implementation of the project by the European Regional Development Fund.
The project implementation period is until 31 March 2023.
